Tu rol diario

You'll invest the majority of your time in three key areas:  

  • Direct and assists all facility-related activities including production, safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Work with internal and external departments as required.
  • Directly supervise Operations Supervisor(s) and indirect responsibility for Production Group Leaders and all hourly production workers.

 

Specifically, you will:

  • Responsible for ensuring the efficiency and productivity for all production-related activities.
    ▪ Work with Facility Manager and Raw Product Supplier to establish a daily raw product delivery schedule.
    ▪ Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, sanitation and housekeeping standards and all regulatory
    compliance related issues.
    ▪ Assist Human Resources Manager and Facility Manager in matters related to hiring, investigations, discipline and termination of production workers.
    ▪ Work with Quality Systems Manager and Maintenance Manager on sanitation and environmental issues regarding proper
    safe food processing practices. This includes the facility itself and the production related equipment for processing the
    various vegetable commodities.
    ▪ Ensure that all production-related records and reports are prepared and maintained timely and accurately.
    ▪ Assist Facility Manager with preparation and adherence to annual facility budget by managing direct labor costs and
    production standards.
    ▪ Manage capital projects as directed by Facility Manager.
    ▪ Ensure efficient and economical utilization of raw products, materials, improvement of processes and elimination of waste for the facility.
    ▪ Work with Production Supervisors in establishing areas of accountability and annual performance goals that will be assessed at the supervisor’s annual performance evaluation.
    ▪ Problem solve and immediately inform the Manager of safety, sanitation, and quality issues.

You will bring the following to the business:

  • Must have excellent employee engagement, communication, organizational, problem solving, results driven focus, decisive decision making, and time management  skills
  • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Computer literacy to include Microsoft Office 
  • Must possess a demonstrated leadership and process knowledge
  • Must be able to direct a structured team made of Supervisors, Leads and floor operators
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and be dependable
  • Must be able to read and write the English language
  • Must be a team leader and effectively communicate with others
  • OSHA Affected Training in Hearing Conversation, Blood Bourne Pathogens, Confined Space, HAS-Com
  • Company and Facility Training in Facility Work Rules, Facility Security, Food Safety, GMP’s, HACCP
  • Engineering/management background

 


Qualifications: 

 

  • Minimum of two years progressive experience in Food Safety/Science supervision
  • Minimum of two years experience in the food industry; specializing in fresh vegetable production, frozen vegetable repack, and distribution is desired
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Business Administration, or other related Food Science field is preferred
