Your daily role
- Safely operate a forklift to pile and take down product up to six pallets high
- Safe loading and unloading of both dry and frozen freight
- Enters data using computer inventory management system
- Uses handhelds and truck mounted scanners to support pallet transfers from one location to another
- Performs daily forklift safety checks including battery changing procedures and using proper personal protective equipment
- Organizes materials and supplies for shift start and properly stacks/stores left over materials
- Communicates tote needs and tote issues to immediate supervisor and quality control
- Provide coverage for forklift drivers as well as move to various areas depending on production needs.
Your profile
- Previous forklift experience considered an asset
- Must pass in-house Forklift Training
- Strong safety frame of mind with demonstrated safety in job performance
- Willingness to help in all areas of the Warehouse, Packaging, Bulk, etc. as required
- Ability to simultaneously manage a variety of work tasks and priorities
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good communication, decision making and troubleshooting skills
- Possess a continuous improvement mind set
- Must successfully complete in house certification program
- Hourly wage is $20.00/Hour
