Base salary

$65,000/Year - $75,000/Year (USD)

Your daily role

  • Opportunity to be on the ground floor as we transition our HRIS systems including a payroll change from ADP to UKG 
  • Manages all payroll and benefits processing and reporting for Nortera Foods USA Inc. using ADP and  UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) as we transition, in coordination with facility Human Resource Managers.
  • Oversees the preparation, documentation, and disbursement of payroll checks, direct deposits, employee and employer taxes, retirement contributions, benefit deductions, and all additional programs related to payroll administration.
  • Compiles payroll data (hours worked, leave time, etc.) into applicable batches for payroll processing.
  • Reconciles all payroll-related accounts to facility general ledgers.
  • Runs and writes detailed payroll and benefits reports, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborates with ADP/UKG to prepare year-end forms for the IRS, including W-2 worksheets, ACA tracking, and reporting control totals.
  • Assist with the reconciliation of all benefits invoices on a monthly basis.
  • Processes levies, garnishments, child support, and other requirements, ensuring compliance with process and notification requirements.
  • Stays current with changes in tax laws at the federal and state levels concerning payroll statutes and reporting procedures. Works with Human Resource Managers to develop and implement policies and guidelines to ensure compliance at Nortera locations.
  • Coordinates with Nortera benefit vendors to ensure the accuracy of premiums being deducted in the UKG system and the proper funding of all Nortera/employee benefit offerings.
  • Collaborates with the Finance team for regular audits of 401k, workers' compensation, unemployment insurance, and year-end financial audits to provide required payroll-related data.

Your profile

  • Understands financial targets and budget goals; incorporates financial analysis into decision-making processes; implements budget flexibility as required to address shifting priorities; supports all expenditures with sound business practices; promotes conservation of organizational resources.
  • Exhibits ethical and moral behavior in everyday business conduct; encourages open discussion and resolution of ethical challenges in the workplace; creates an environment that demands ethical behavior.
  • Working knowledge of payroll best practices and strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to payroll and benefits.
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Kronos Timekeeping, ADP, and the UKG Workforce payroll data management system.
  • Four (4) or more years in a payroll, HRIS, and/or benefits function involving increasing levels of responsibility and independent action in regards to processes and systems.
  • Experienced in running and writing detailed reports for payroll and benefits data analysis.
  • Certified Payroll Manager, Certified Payroll Professional, or SHRM certification.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field preferred
