Your daily role

Reporting to a Senior Director, Retail Sales (Canada) and as a national account manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing retail sales with certain our Canadian customers.



  • Maintain business relationships with current customers by providing sales reports, customer service support and sales presentations as required;
  • Increase sales and develop new business opportunities within a defined customer base;
  • Negotiate annual price and volume commitments with management and customers;
  • Analyze business trends and make recommendations on strategies to increase national brand and private label sales with customers;
  • Forecast, budget and plan annual volume targets by brand and technology by customer;
  • Deliver results against an annual budget objective;
  • Carry out periodic checks and surveys in stores to ensure that market trends are continuously monitored;
  • Manage new product development opportunities;
  • Meet monthly with category managers to ensure that the plan and annual objectives are achieved;
  • Maximize distribution across all Nortera product lists.

Your profile

  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in major account management;
  • Bachelor's degree in commerce or any other combination of diploma and relevant experience;
  • Prior experience with private labels in the frozen food category (an asset);
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
  • Knowledge and network within the Canadian grocery retail industry;
  • Entrepreneurial mentality and ability to adapt to the changing retail environment;
  • Recognized ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients;
  • Strong forecasting, analytical and communication skills (verbal and written);
  • Experience and expertise in Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Cognos, G Suite;
  • Very organized and able to manage multiple projects;
  • French/English bilingualism.
