Base salary
Your daily role
- Perform installations and maintenance, including changing layouts and setting up all machinery as directed by maintenance or production leadership.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of conveying equipment such as pumps, shakers, etc.
- Starts and observes machines to detect malfunctions and makes required adjustments and repairs.
- Take ownership and responsibility for the safety of each staff member and abide by all plant safety rules and regulations.
- Comply with good manufacturing practice requirements and perform all work in a safe manner following all established policies and procedures.
- Document all maintenance activities and logging them accordingly, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Attend training sessions or utilize other methods to acquire knowledge of seaming equipment or systems.
- Follow directions from the Maintenance Lead.
- All other duties as assigned.
Your profile
- Must have Industrial Millwright Mechanic (433A) certification.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an industrial environment.
- Complete understanding of mechanical devices and exposure to electrical troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures for continuous cookers and controllers is an asset.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and willingness to learn while role-modeling Nortera’s Core Values.
- Must meet minimum dexterity requirements of this position: bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, crouching, kneeling, standing, walking, sitting, etc.
- Flexible work schedule to work 12-hour continental shift rotation and open to on-call shifts including overtime.
- Be technically trained/trainable in all aspects of our plant equipment and systems.
- Understand productivity and efficiency indicators and their impact.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Understand quality systems such as: GMPs, HACCP, and Food Safety.
- Must have knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
