Base salary

$65,000/Year - $75,000/Year (USD)

Your daily role

  • This role acts as the lead person for our frontline hourly team members by directing the activities of workers and processes for the Agriculture department according to established schedules, safety, and quality procedures while striving to continually improve all facets of the business.
  • Manages employees during harvest and offseason on all shifts
  • Oversees pre-grades crops for maturity and quality and assists in providing information to the plant to produce the best possible product
  • Coordinates product flow to the plant to meet production needs
  • Participate in daily management meetings when available
  • Assist Field Manager in the development of contracts with growers
  • Manage an assigned growing area including acreage contracting, planning and harvesting operation of peas and sweet corn
  • Assist with budget planning and cost control

 

Your profile

  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work and understand technical labels for crop protection products 
  • Must be computer literate and knowledge of MS Office 
  • Must be able to work weekends and other off shifts
  • Ability to travel
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record 
  • Minimum of 3 years experience of  related agriculture experience or a combination of experience and education 
  • Bachelor’s degree in agricultural industry or other related industry preferred
