As a Deployment Planner, you ensure the rapid and efficient transportation of bulk frozen components across the company's production network to balance inventory and support finished product production schedules.
This position involves reviewing demand, analyzing component needs within 7 production sites and coordinating inter-site transfers in order to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid any interruption in production.
You will work closely with production planning, purchasing, logistics and factory operations to balance supply, minimize shortages and support production schedule.
THE ROLE:
- Analyze component requirements in 7 production sites to support the production schedule of finished products;
- Monitor inventory levels, open orders and demand forecasts to identify potential shortages or excess inventory;
- Plan and execute component transfers between sites to ensure production continuity and minimize downtime;
- Collaborate with production planners, procurement, logistics and plant operations departments to align material availability;
- Review and adjust deployment plans based on variations in demand, supply constraints, inventory constraints or production schedules;
- Maintain optimal stock levels regionally across the network, ensuring service level and stock targets are met;
- Track and resolve component shortages, reporting risks that may affect production;
- Optimize deployment to ensure that old stock and replacement products are prioritized, with the aim of balancing usage and reducing problem stock;
- Work closely with the bulk planning team to address inventory challenges and follow the bulk movement plan;
- Conduct a regular review of the actual movement plan against the budgeted plan;
- Collaborate with transportation and logistics teams to ensure on-time shipping and delivery of components, with a focus on cost reduction strategies;
- Lead regular meetings with planning teams to ensure efficient use of stocks and their availability;
- Participate in meetings and discussions relating to the supply chain to ensure a good coverage rate and a satisfactory level of service;
- Provide solutions to any replenishment-related issues by monitoring detailed stock levels, and provide guidance when substitutions or deviations are necessary.
PROFILE:
- French/English bilingualism (interactions across Canada and the United States);
- Ideally 3 years of experience in supply chain planning, requirements planning, deployment planning or inventory management;
- Diploma in supply chain, commerce or operations management;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to interpret demand and inventory data;
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis);
- Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills;
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment;
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
